When I take a photo that I think particularly "good" I get pretty stressed. Should I put this on Facebook? What if it gets STOLEN and someone ELSE gets the credit? Should I put it on the blog? Usually the promise of peer complements and a large watermark win me over to "share" it. When someone enjoys a photo I take they are seeing a bit of my soul. If they like it, I can ride off that high for a good week. Longer if the comments are in written, comment form. Because yes, I go back and read them to feel awesome about myself.
But then there is this other side. I am a Christian. I love Jesus and this changes everything.
Jesus was crazy. He lived with open hands.
I want to be that. I want to live with open, fearless hands.
A dear, wonderful friend sent me this video. I was inspired and convicted by it.
What do you think? Shall we pant the world as our stage?
love,
jocelyn
