Rojo Update: A home!

Good news! After months of house hunting and putting in offers I am very, very happy to tell you that we have a house! It is lovely and just what we have dreamed about!

It is kind of a crazy story and here are some of the high points:

-We put the offer in before going inside...we drove by on the way to the airport and loved what we saw.
-We made the official offer while in London
-We remodeled the bathroom from Paris
-We got the keys the day we left for CA
-We will have 3 house guests before we move in.
-It was out 6th offer in 6 months
-It was built in 1912 and has all the charm of those good old days
-Hardwoods thought {I  HATE carpet, it freakes me out.}
-I already have 2 parties planned!

Lets just say we could never, ever, never have done it without a stellar realtor and the support of family and friends. Who skyped, us at ungodly hours of the night.

Sitting on the front porch wondering what we have done--um we have a YARD?

A little peake...uncleaned and "In the raw" We have some work to do!

I am completely SO excited to start painting and making it ours! I have never had a change to "nest". Our traveling and living situations have not accommodated such things. I have warned Rowan this could be very very scary. I am suddenly completely obsessed with Pintrest and blogs like Better homes and Gardens and weird things my mother likes.

We are in CA right now visiting out dear friends and resting after a long few months.

I will totally document the painting and designing adventures and mishaps that are bound to happen. We have NO stinking idea what we are doing. We are apartment, not so do it yourself people. So this is going to be fun.

I love it!!!! I am so excited for you. I have had so much fun in our little house, but I think it would be even more fun in a house you got to pick out and you can do anything to (ours is Camp property).

It looks lovely - congrats! We are remodeling our house now too - I spent the other day browsing bedroom designs so I know exactly what you're talking about. :)
