100 Days

100 Days

Rowan, Jocelyn, and Kennan

I've come to the conclusion that it is possible to plan anything in 100 days. Neither Russell Johnson nor Peter Pallock could find just cause to disagree with me, so I think it's safe. Here's the official quote:

"You can plan anything in 100 days."

Set it as your background. Post it as your status. Write it in your quote books.

Why, you might ask, am I so concerned about being able to plan anything in 100 days? Well... you see, I'm getting married May 29, 2010! Sometimes it seems really far away. Sometimes it seems like it is right around the corner. Invariably when I tell people about our 4 month; 19 week; 133 day; 3192 hour engagement I get the same reactions. If the listener is over 33 they do a little freak out and complain about how that's WAY too short for any self-respecting couple to be engaged. However, if the listener is less than 33 they give a cute cheer and say "Way to go! That's what we did," or "I wish we'd done that too." [Then again... if the listener is Robby, he thinks we're already married and wants to know why I don't live at the Edlin's house...]

I'm sure you've figured it out by now, but our wedding is 100 days away from today.
No problem.
I can plan anything in 100 days.

I'm over 33 and I think it's super! Although I don't doubt I'm an exception to your rule. Steve and I were engaged 6 weeks after our first "date" and married 6 months later. We've been married 27 years.

100 days will be easy for you, Rowan! Enjoy every second!!!

Rowan – Regardless of the time you take in your engagement, take council from those older than you that know you best and will offer insight both good and bad. The only other advise I would add comes from Duet 24:5;
"When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war or be charged with any business; he shall be free at home one year, and bring happiness to his wife whom he has taken.”

Of the marriages that have followed this little known command to establish a good marriage foundation, I have not known of any to fail.
